About Galya Cohen
Dr. Galya Cohen is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in integrative and trauma-informed care. She provides a warm, collaborative space for those who want to explore the root causes of their challenges and work toward lasting change. She mainly utilizes cognitive behavioral, existential, and psychodynamic approaches to therapy. She also offers psychedelic (ketamine) assisted psychotherapy (KAP), integration therapy for psychedelic use, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) for those looking to explore deeper layers of their healing process, and to ultimately reduce emotional charge.
She mainly works with adults and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and/or unresolved trauma. Many of her patients are seeking a deeper connection with themselves and are curious about how therapy – sometimes paired with psychedelic support – can accelerate their healing.
Dr. Cohen believes therapy is most effective when it’s grounded in trust, curiosity, safety, and compassion. Her work is informed by mindfulness, somatic awareness, and the latest research in psychedelic assisted therapy and trauma informed approaches.
